Ladies and Gents you have to care for your scalp and create a healthy environment for your hair if you want to see any positive change in your mane. ESPECIALLY if you want to see any growth. If your scalp says “I’m dirty!”, “Ouch that hurts!”, “I need T.L.C!”, “I can’t breathe”, or “I’m thirsty”, you have some changes to make. Quickly. O_O Here are a few alternatives to the aforementioned…..
1. Clean it!——Cleaning your scalp is SO important for growth, prevention of dandruff, hygiene, and overall appearance of your hair. Truth is, a lot of times, we think that we have dandruff issues but we really have cleansing issues;-) lol that white flaky stuff that you see can actually be build up from old product you’ve put on your hair in between washes along with sebum, dirt, and other nasty particles. Also, if you aren’t rinsing your scalp properly when you wash the white filmy looking stuff on your scalp that will eventually dry up and flake. Yuck! That’s so gross. lol! ;-) Wash your hair peeps, clean your scalp with the pads of your finger tips and rinse thoroughly.
2. Don’t scratch!! Pat!!—-lol weave wearers are famous for this! Ya’ll know, that famous head pat that they do! If you don’t know what I’m referring too, I’ll post it in a video. Just request it and I’ll do it! LOL! Scratching your scalp to death sometimes leaves open abrasions and is not conducive to a healthy growth environment for your hair follicle. Don’t do it, well….try not to. I even catch myself scratchin hecka hard from time to time. lmbo. No bueno. Just pat with the pads of your fingers or even rub and massage the itchy parts.
3. Massage it!! —-Massaging your scalp stimulates movement in the capillaries that carry nutrients to the hair follicles, or simply put: healthy blood circulation. lol. Also relieves tension and stress, calms your mind down and relaxes you. Those are just added benefits, lol! 2-3 minutes of scalp massaging a day will make your scalp happy;-)
4. Don’t add grease!! Unless you have a condition that requires added oil to your scalp, like eczema or dry scalp, you don’t need it;-) And if you do have any one of these conditions, many times the doctor will suggest mineral oil or petroleum jelly to treat your scalp. I used to use ultra sheen FAITHFULLY growing up as a little girl. Blue Magic every once in a while, ya’ll know what I’m talkin about;-) But thats not really necessary for me to do because my scalp NATURALLY produces oil called sebum and yours does too! Cutting out “oiling my scalp” in my regimen brought life back to my hair. My pores were no longer being clogged by grease, my hair was no longer heavy and could freely blow in the wind, and I was no longer aiding in the production of dandruff on my scalp. Yes, dandruff can sometimes be caused by a fungus that feeds off of the natural oils you put on your scalp. Now if you insist, go ahead and do yo thang. But eliminating this step has blessed my hair tremendously.
5. Drink WATER!! Ya’ll will continue to see water all over this blog. lol Water is awesome for your body, your scalp, your hair, it is EVERYTHING to you. lol!!! Drink WATER! It will hydrate your scalp from the inside out and the inside layers of your scalp skin will be happy. lol, otherwise they will start reacting to the lack of hydration and begin shedding skin:-\ Yikes!
Love you all, and Jesus loves you too;-) Lol muah!! TTYS!! **waves**
